For many years, I have attempted to capture lightning, and living in Northern California, lightning is not the most common. This particular storm was the epitome of great timing as the rain cooperated, I had the higher ground for a better vantage, a clear sky and a foreground for perspective and lightning strikes in the near distance. All of these things lead to this incredible capture!
