WATER IN MOTION
Often times when I am on an outdoor adventure, I will find myself drawn to the presence of water, especially moving water. There is a sense of tranquility that emerges where everything else no longer matters. When photographing water in motion, my goal is to capture the essence of that feeling to hopefully inspire similar emotion and create a compelling story while inspiring intrigue.

For years, I photographed landscapes and wildlife as a way to preserve personal moments of wonder and Intrigue, but my work and intent has evolved into a desire to share those experiences with others. Through each photograph, I aim to convey the perspective and emotions that were present with me while visiting these wild places—the stillness, calm, vast scale, and tranquil beauty of our natural world.”

This waterfall truly is a majestic place. The awe inspiring flow unleashes its power and beauty into the mossy rocks below. The water weeps from the rocky cliffs and makes for an enchanted scene that never gets old.
This moment lasted about 90 seconds. When the sun began to emerge through a natural window between the mountains and the clouds, I realized I was about to witness something special.
Just as I was about to put away my camera, an illumination began to emerge from between the mountains. It took me a minute to realize that this glow was coming from the full moon rising. This moment unfolded unexpectedly and is one I will always remember.

This was an absolutely awe inspiring moment in time fore me. I couldn't believe that the northern lights made it as far south as my hometown in Northern California. For a fleeting moment, I saw these lights with my naked eye. It is a moment I will remember forever.
One thing I love about the ocean is that there is always something new to explore and photograph.
